PDN POWERPICK - 11/06/02
This week introduced a new fundraiser to PDNR in the form of a Powerball lottery style game. $1 and $2 numbers will be sold and the jackpot could well be yours! Be sure to catch the Powerball drawn on TV on Thursday night to see if your number comes up. Remember to get in early each week to pick YOUR winning number
There will be a maximum of 45 numbers to choose from (Number 1 to number 45) Each week will be a new draw. The numbers are sold each week. It will work off Thursday nights POWERBALL - the winning number will be the actual Powerball drawn on the following Thursday (this is the last ball drawn). If the winning number is not sold then the jackpot will roll over onto the following weeks jackpot.
Half of the money collected will add to the PDN fundraising account. The other half will be the jackpot. Eg: 45 numbers sell at $1 each. $45 in the kitty. $22.50 goes to the club and $22.50 to the winning number holder. Eg2: twenty numbers sell at $1 each. $20 in the kitty. $10 goes to the club. The winning number was not sold, so the $10 will roll over into next weeks jackpot. Each sheet (either the $1 or the $2 sheet) will have separate jackpots. The winner of the $1 sheet will receive only the jackpot relevant to the $1 sheet.

This refers to the draw of Powerball on Thursday 13 June 2002 (#317 I think) Final numbers will be sold up until 5pm on the Thursday of the draw. The winning name/s will be announced and jackpot awarded on the following Tuesday night, good luck!
