RACE RESULTS - 2006 PDNR RC (BATHURST) 1000

On Saturday, October 7, twenty drivers attended the third running of the RC Bathurst 1000. Unfortunately the event had to be held at Penrith, rather than the main street of Bathurst as in previous years, but all drivers in attendce thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The RC 1000 is designed as a fun event based on the Bathurst 1000 race in which drivers attempt to qualify for a spot in the 20 car 161 lap main event through 3 qualification rounds which were combined to give a final result.

Three divisions were available, Supercar, Lite and Production with the drivers from each division represented in the RC Bathurst 1000. The top 10 qualifiers competed in a Top 10 Shoot Out for pole position and then did battle for the 161 lap main event, which took just over one hour to complete.
