RACE RESULTS - 2007 CHARITY CHALLENGE

Another well supported event, many drivers from PDNR and abroad made the trip to Oran Park to give their support of not only the PDNR Charity Challenge, but the Kids Race Day as well. PDNR would like to thank everyone who attended for their support, especially those who offered their car for the Kids Free Test Drives.

This year saw the return of the JUNIOR class designed primarily to give the kids of drivers racing an opportunity to compete. All the Kids should be very proud of their driving, and all of them, including the youngest aged only 6 did extremely well. It was really great to see how well they can go when on track with each other - their combined average age was approx 8 and a half!

The weather put a dampener on activites with rain falling before the lunch break. The track never dried, but that didn't stop the dedicated group of drivers getting out for a wet and slippery dunny demolition derby. Luckily all qualifying was completed, and with the event declared, final positions would be based on qualifying. Despite the rain, 2007 was another great Kids Race Day, but it would not have happened without our sponsors and PDNR extend a huge thanks and appreciation to all sponsors and supporters.
