RACE
RESULTS - 2008 PRO-LINE 3 HOUR CLASSIC

On
Saturday, November 29, 2008, drivers arrived ready to do battle for 180 minutes
non-stop in the 2008 edition of the annual Pro-Line 3 Hour Classic. A late start
to open practice would mean teams needed to find their ideal set up quickly.
Many teams were still tweaking the car during the optional 20 minute qualifying
session, which this year was worth much more than just a place on the grid.
With the completion of the new PDNR drivers stand trailer, the top 10 qualifiers
would have first choice to use the new stand. The remaining 5 teams would use
to dexion drivers stand.
This year had good attendance with 15 teams signing up for the longest endurance
race on the PDNR calendar. The event was once again sponsored by Pro-Line and
their exclusive Australian agents HEI International who supplied each team with
a Pro-Line Nissan G35 body. These bodies looked awesome and handled the distance
really well. There were some great paint schemes, and many teams used bright
colours realising that this event would run under lights into the night. Concourse
was awarded to Valmorg Racing, and Best Team was Team FCR
(although The Stig team had the paddock laughing with their matching
overalls!).
