The 2010 2.4 Hour Le Mans was the endurance event to break the drought at PDNR. It had been almost two years since the previous PDNR endurance event had gone ahead. Both attempts to hold the event in 2009 were abandoned due to a lack of interest. The 2010 event appeared to be headed in the same direction, all beit a late surge in entries allowed organisers to press ahead.

This year the drought was broken in more ways than one, with rain falling the entire week leading into the event, and rain was even falling on the morning of the event. As the powers at be would have it, there was just enough "dry" time to get the track and equipment set up and ready before the rain set in for the night. Despite the rain, the event continued and all teams did a fantastic job to brave and battle the conditions, which could best be described as "crazy wet". There aren't many events in Australia that are held in wet conditions, and the overall feedback was that racing in the rain can be a heap of fun!
